The scope of services available depends on the nature of the matter:

Federal firearms law. NFA matters arise under federal law. Guidance on federal NFA requirements is provided where permitted by applicable law and rules.

State-law matters. For matters governed by state law, including estate planning, state firearms law, and general legal advice, legal representation is limited to Maryland. Individuals located elsewhere may be referred to counsel licensed in their jurisdiction.

NFA trust documents prepared for clients outside Maryland are provided as a document preparation service. They do not constitute legal advice regarding the laws of any state other than Maryland, and no attorney-client relationship is formed with respect to the law of any other jurisdiction.

Purchasers of out-of-state trust documents are responsible for confirming that the document meets the requirements of the state where the trust will be administered, and for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local firearms laws. Federal and state firearms law carries significant criminal penalties. Consult counsel licensed in your state before acquiring, transferring, or possessing any regulated firearm or item.
